Editors' Top Pick
Do we ever rate a diet pill positively? Yes. Although it's rare, there are a few diet pills that meet our strict recommendation requirements. Why don't we recommend be-Cleansed? We're looking for clinically proven ingredients, money back guarantees and low prices. Apidexin is our favorite. You can read our review or go to the official site.
be-Cleansed
Be Careful
be-Cleansed is the cleanse/diet supplement in GNC’s “be” product line. This particular product plays on one of the more popular “alternative” ways of dieting - through a 7-day cleanse. Though I typically recommend more of a balanced diet in general, at times cleanses can be helpful to rid excess waste in your digestive tract. Is this product any better because its GNC or is it not worth the price?
be-Cleansed 7 Day Formula
This product has four proprietary blends with different purposes including:
- Anti-bloating formula
- Cleansing
- “Calorie cutting”
- Body purification
How or why the second and last one are not considered the same thing is beyond me, but after analyzing the ingredients, the main effects you are likely to see include
- Anti-bloating formula - Some water loss through diuretics (uva ursi, elderberry, juniper berry, etc.)
- Cleansing formula - Includes pretty much the same ingredients as the anti-bloating formula which means more water loss.
- “Calorie cutting” formula - with green tea and digestive enzymes it doesn’t necessarily cut calories but may improve digestion.
- Body purification liquid - a large concentration of antioxidants and a number of fiber sources. This is a good mix.
be-Cleansed Value
As this is only a week long program, it makes me wonder how GNC can ask $50. Many of the ingredients in the “body purification” formula are good, but the other ingredients are basic diuretics. I don’t see a lot here that really amounts to $50 for a weeks worth.
Should you be-Cleansed?
Generally this product isn’t bad and coming from GNC has to be at least safe, but it is making itself out to be more than it really is. There isn’t enough fiber and other ingredients here to really make a significant difference for you in a week unless you have another diet plan on the side, so I don’t recommend you spend the $50 here.
