Editors' Top Pick
Do we ever rate a diet pill positively? Yes. Although it's rare, there are a few diet pills that meet our strict recommendation requirements. Why don't we recommend Cytolean? We're looking for clinically proven ingredients, money back guarantees and low prices. Apidexin is our favorite. You can read our review or go to the official site.
Cytolean
Lean, Mean, Cytolean
Okay, so that’s not really the company slogan, but the company does offer some interesting propaganda like: ”Cytolean is the very first and ONLY supplement that help to improve your mood, help with cravings and in between meal snackings and help with your appetite.” This sounds nice, but strangely familiar.
Also, Cytolean is apparently “so different from mainstream fat loss products that its’ unique formula is actually patent pending!” Hate to break it to you - there are dozens, if not hundreds of products with patent-pending versions of the same basic chemicals and with the same claims. The real question is if this formula is effective, because it is surely not that unique.
Cytolean Formula
Cytolean, despite containing a patent for its formula, doesn’t list the exact concentrations of the following 667 mg mix:
- Gluconolactone
- Green Tea Extract (90% Catechins and 60% ECGC)
- DL Phenylalanine
- L-Tyrosine
- Beta-Phenylethylamine
- Caffeine
- Evodia Rutaecarpa (standardized for Rutaecarpine)
- Hordenine
- Ginko Biloba Extract
- Uncaria Rhynchophylla
- Sinofranchetia Chinesis
Just as suspected, I’ve seen pretty much all of these ingredients before. The most notable ingredients here are green tea, caffeine, and phenylethylamine. These all have stimulant effects to boost metabolism and, in effect, help you burn more calories. As well, it contains hordenine, ginko biloba, and phenylalanine which have some proven effect at improving mental performance and may enhance a sense of well-being. The other herbs and chemicals have very limited evidence for effectiveness. This is surprisingly not that bad of a formula, but not really anything special.
Cytolean Value?
Though the list price is $50, I’ve found Cytolean for as cheap as $26 online. This is a pretty decent price. However, the fact that it only amounts to a little over half a gram and doesn’t give you the concentrations leads me to believe they are definitely cutting costs and will likely short you on the important ingredients.
Lean, Mean, Conclusion
Though the price is reasonable and half the ingredients look pretty decent, I am pretty sure you’re not looking to go half-way to weight-loss success. For this reason I do not recommend Cytolean. There are simply better products out there.
