Editors' Top Pick
Do we ever rate a diet pill positively? Yes. Although it's rare, there are a few diet pills that meet our strict recommendation requirements. Why don't we recommend Drenalin Hardcore? We're looking for clinically proven ingredients, money back guarantees and low prices. Apidexin is our favorite. You can read our review or go to the official site.
Drenalin Hardcore
Drenalin - Missing more than the “A”?
Drenalin, from Six Star, is a non-prescription fat burner sold mainly online. It is one of the cheaper products I’ve seen of its kind at about $20 for a 30-day supply. With such a price and the kind of advertising they put into it, it’s either an incredible deal or it’s missing enough of the good stuff to justify the price.
Drenalin Hardcore Claims and Formula
This product claims to work mainly be increasing norepinephrine levels, which they claim is “your key fat-burning hormone” (not really the case). It claims that in some studies done on ingredients that are also in Drenalin, norepinephrine levels were increased “by an average of 40 percent”. Looking at the formula, it is very unclear whether they really are justified in claiming that their product could do the same and provide results. Each pill is made of two “proprietary blends”:
816mg
- Green Tea Extract - 207 Mg
- Caffeine Anhydrous - 300 Mg
- Xanthinol Nicotinate
- Glucuronolactone
- Big Catuaba Powder
- Gynostemma Pentaphyllum Extract
- VinpocetineCynara Scolymus Extract
- White Willow Extract
179mg
- Cissus Quadrangularis Extract
- Rhodiola Rosea Extract
- Coleus Forskohlii
- Yerba Mate Powder
- Hibiscus Powder
The main thing here is basically caffeine and green tea - not surprisingly. This is about three cups of coffee’s worth in each pill, so watch out. Yerba mate is also a pretty good ingredient and may help suppress appetite, but the rest of the ingredients have little evidence for being potent. Besides, they don’t even list the full concentrations.
Drenalin Hardcore Summary
Though this product does contain a pretty potent dose of caffeine, green tea, and yerba mate and a few other potentially helpful herbs, it doesn’t really reach beyond the ability of caffeine to boost your metabolism and so it really couldn’t ask much more than $20 anyway. In fact, you can find products with essentially the same core ingredients for even less perhaps. For this reason, I don’t recommend Drenalin Hardcore. A hardcore dose of caffeine isn’t enough to be a good diet pill.
