Do we ever rate a diet pill positively? Yes. Although it's rare, there are a few diet pills that meet our strict recommendation requirements. Why don't we recommend Fiberteq? Fiberteq
What kind of fiber are you taking?
Fiberteq, from VPX, is a comprehensive fiber supplement intended to relieve constipation, stop diarrhea, control Irritable Bowel Syndrom, and to help you control your weight. We’ve all heard of the benefits of having a healthy dose of fiber in our diets and consequently there are dozens of products out there to choose from. Needless to say, if you spend the extra effort to find the right foods, you wouldn’t need a supplement, but supplements sure can make it easier! So, what about Fiberteq?
Fiberteq Ingredients
Each bottle of Fiberteq contains 30 servings of 18 grams each. The formula includes the following:
- Flax Seed
- Arabinogalactan
- Rice Bran
- Psyllium Husk
- Inulin
- Lecithin
- Fibersol-2
- Apple Fiber
- Viable Bacteria (Lactobacillus acidophilus, lactobasillus casei, bifidobacterium infantis)
These are excellent ingredients and I am especially impressed by the inclusion of probiotics (bacteria) to help aid your digestive process. My main concern with this product is that the 18 grams is a proprietary blend, which means that 17.9 grams of the blend could be rice bran and the rest of it accounting for less than .1 grams. There is nothing to say that these are evenly distributed and this makes me very skeptical of the actual value of the product.
Fiberteq Pricing
For a comprehensive fiber supplement, this is a reasonably priced product, being sold in many places for as cheap as $16. However, if this product were only rice bran, it would be worth much less than that, and the company gives no guarantees.
Is Fiberteq for you?
In general this appears to be a great product with great ingredients, but as stated I am concerned that they wouldn’t give you a value for the amount of psyllium husk, for instance. With a relatively even mix, this formula would be outstanding and a decent value, but the risk is there that you’re getting something sub-par, so before buying I would check out a product that gives you more info on its ingredients.
