Glucofast
Glucofast Blood Sugar/Weight Loss Formula from MicroNutra Health is a vitamin/weight-loss supplement which gears towards the older generation and those who worry about blood sugar levels. Though it would be a bit presumptuous to see this as a product for diabetics, it definitely seems to tout itself as rock solid. Will it make a difference or is this just an over-priced vitamin?
Glucofast Ingredients
Taking a close look at the ingredients in this product, it is evident that it is about half standard vitamin complex and half herbal blend geared towards weight loss. As for the vitamins, there is nothing here you can’t find in a cheap daily vitamin (vitamin C, vitamin E, biotin, magnesium, zinc).
As for the “proprietary herbal blend”, which accounts for 360 mg but doesn’t disclose the concentration of any given part, you find ingredients such as
- Bitter melon
- Guggul
- Gymnema sylvestre
- Licorice Bark
- Banaba
- Yarrow Leaves
- Cayenne
- Juniper Berry
While ingredients such as gymnema sylvestre and banaba have been used traditionally in asia as supplements for those with diabetes to control blood sugar and/or sugar cravings, the clinical research relating to these ingredients still pretty inconclusive. Ingredients like juniper berry and guggul are well known for their aromatic qualities, but juniper has also been known to be an appetite stimulant. Cayenne can boost your metabolism slightly to help you burn more calories. In general, this is a decent mix of healthy herbs, but not necessarily focused or expensive enough to explain the $67 price tag of Glucofast.
Glucofast Conclusion
Though this certainly isn’t a scam and contains some pretty healthy ingredients, this product is simply over-priced. It doesn’t disclose the concentrations of its “active” ingredients, which usually means they don’t want to tell you how little of the good ones they include. This is a safe product, but not good enough in value or apparent effectiveness to recommend.
