Hydroxycut Maximum Strength Cleanse System for Men

“Ready to feel Invigorated?”

Yes, always.  But with a cleanse?

The makers of the popular Hydroxycut products, Iovate Health Sciences, have come out with a version of the 7 day cleanse.  Cleanse systems are especially popular these days as colon health seems to be in the news all the time.  There are so many different tests and treatments and preventative measures on the market that it’s hard to know what is really worth investing in.  Personally, I’d much rather use a cleanse than have a doctor ram a tube up my derierre.

The Maximum Strength Cleanse System

As this particular formula is “just for men”, I was interested in what might set it apart.  The system?

10 Pills and a drink mix every day for 7 days.  The pills come in AM and PM groups (the PM ones don’t contain stimulants) and a breakdown of the ingredients you’ll get each day (in slightly ambiguous amounts) is as follows:

Probiotics:

  • 3 varieties of Lactobacillus bacteria
  • Bifidobacterium longum
  • Bifidobacterium breve

Enzymes:

  • Bromelain
  • Papain
  • “Protease 3.0, 4.5, 6.0″
  • Lipase
  • Cellulase
  • Glucoamylase
  • Invertase
  • Alpha-galactosidase
  • Lactase
  • Amylase
  • Beta-gluconase
  • Hemicellulase
  • Phytase

“Cleansing” herbs

  • Senna
  • Pomegranite
  • Xanthan
  • Curcumin
  • Yellowdock
  • Clove
  • Garlic
  • Ginger
  • Licorice
  • Carboxymethylcellulose
  • Guar gum
  • Cascara
  • Ginger
  • Fennel
  • Wormwood
  • Rhubarb
  • Burdock
  • Artichoke
  • Alfalfa
  • Slippery Elm
  • Licorice

…and the list goes on. My main conclusion is that they are all “good” herbs, but not necessarily all related to digestive health and more than “food” is related to digestive health.  The enzymes and probiotics are a great addition to the product, but don’t necessarily justify buying the whole thing.  Another main issue I have with this product is that the doses are so small for any given herbal component as to render it almost useless.  There is too much going on to be potent. In this case, the sum of the parts is less effective than each part individually (if it were in a potent dose).

What about the “male” health component? Well, they include the following ingredients.

  • Saw Palmetto extract
  • Acai
  • Phytosterols and beta-sitosterols
  • Pygeum africanum bark
  • Lycopene
  • Cucurbita pepo
  • Stinging nettle
  • Fenugreek

A few of these ingredients, including saw palmetto, phytosterols, cucurbita, and pygeum africanum, and nettle have been traditionally used to help reduce inflammation of the prostate, but it is unclear whether they are appropriate or effective when taken as a preventative measure.

Making sense of Maximum Strength Cleanse for Men

So back to basics – you’re wanting to know if this product is going to get you healthier (and maybe slimmer) in 7 days for a good price.

My take –  this is a pretty complete product in its approach.  It has components for liver, digestive, and even prostate health and sells for $40.  This isn’t bad, but my main concern is that the product has spent so much time compiling an encyclopedia of herbal remedies that it isn’t focusing on the ones that have the most research behind them.  Often simple is more effective and ultimately this product doesn’t seem to offer enough fiber to really “cleanse” your digestive system as promised.  For this reason I would consider some of the cheaper or do-it-yourself “cleanse” programs first.

Why do consumers love Fenphedra? Because it really works. In fact, Fenphedra outperforms Apidexin in every category except safety and price. However, due to its powerful ingredients, Fenphedra is not for the average person looking to looking to lose a few pounds. Only consider it if you have 10, 20 or 30 plus pounds to lose.
