Editors' Top Pick of 2012
Do we ever rate a diet pill positively? Yes. Although it's rare, there are a few diet pills that meet our strict recommendation requirements. Why don't we recommend Lipopro? We're looking for clinically proven ingredients, money back guarantees and low prices. Apidexin is our favorite. You can read our review or go to the official site.
Lipopro: Does it Live Up to the Hype?
Pharmapro, the maker of the diet supplement Lipopro, is pretty confident about Lipopro’s ability to get you skinnier and fast. While pretty much every diet supplement out there claims to be the bee’s knees, Lipopro makes five important claims which are worth considering. Lipopro will supposedly:
- Shed body fat in the shortest time possible.
- Provide long-lasting energy to power you through your workouts and your daily routine.
- Optimimize thyroid function to accelerate fat burning process.
- Mimick the effect of insulin to reduce food cravings in between meals.
- Provide natural diuretic ingredients to prevent the accumulation of excess water in the body.
How Does Lipopro Work?
Lipopro is the kind of diet supplement that appears to have a pretty specific agenda but ultimately boils down to being very simple when it comes to following through on the promises. As for Shedding body fat, the main effect is likely due to caffeine which can temporarily boost your metabolism to burn a few extra calories and tap into energy stores.
However when it comes to “optimizing thyroid function”, the anonymous amount of potassium iodide in Lipopro just simply isn’t going to help you “kick the thyroid into high gear” as the company suggests. Likewise there isn’t anything in Lipopro that will mimic the effect of insulin. If there were, then diabetics would probably just use that, right?! Finally, it is true that the Lipopro formula contains herbal diuretics, but losing temporary water weight isn’t real weight loss anyway.
Lipopro Side Effects
Lipopro generally appears to be a pretty safe diet supplement as you’re only taking about 400 mg per serving and that is spread acrossed 15 ingredients. As with most diet supplements of its kind, Lipopro is likely to be made up of a good portion of caffeine, so taking 4-6 servings a day (as recommended on the bottle) may end up being too much for you. Possible side effects from the Lipopro formula may include:
- Headache
- Nausea
- Digestive pain
- Diarrhea
- High blood pressure
- Elevated heart rate
- Insomnia
You should not take Lipopro if you are pregnant or nursing and you should be aware that using vanadium in the long term may cause problems with reproductive health.
Lipopro Ingredient Highlights
The three main ingredients in Lipopro according to the company’s emphasis, making up the so-called “PCA” stack are:
Phyllanthus Emblica Extract – More commonly known as Indian gooseberry, the herb has a long history of use for all kinds of ailments in the Ayurvedic system but few if any of these (such as lowering cholesterol) are proven by western science. Even so, we’re more concerned about the fact that since Pharmapro calls it their ephedrine replacement, it doesn’t have any of the same benefits as ephedra.
Caffeine Anhydrous – the workhorse of stimulants
White Willow Bark – contains a chemical precursor to aspirin and so it may help reduce inflammation (if that’s a concern for you).
Other Ingredients

Should You Try Lipopro?
We’ve mentioned a few times that Lipopro doesn’t have much experience proving itself for weight loss in clinical trials. We understand that some products are just new and haven’t had a lot of time to show their mettle in the lab. That’s fine. but when you don’t even get a full satisfaction guarantee if you’re not happy with how it works, we get skeptical. You only get 85% of your money back on unopened bottles of Lipopro, which definitely doesn’t show a lot of confidence from the company about their diet supplement. We don’t recommend Lipopro. Despite some good ingredients, it doesn’t look to be the kind of diet supplement that gives you the right bang for your buck.
