ReZolution by LG Sciences: Does it Live Up to the Hype?

As supposedly the “most powerful fat burner LG Sciences’s Formulators could produce,” ReZolution by LG Sciences definitely has a lot to live up to. Then again, LG Sciences isn’t exactly Pfizer and ReZolution has been discontinued by a number of online vendors, so we’re already not expecting nearly as much from this diet supplement.

There is no question that ReZolution contains a hefty dose of stimulants, which can provide a powerful boost of energy and some extra fat burning power if you’re working out regularly, but we’ve found its claims to be conspicuously lacking in evidence and its price conspicuously lacking in satisfaction guarantee.

How Does ReZolution by LG Sciences Work?

ReZolution by LG Sciences claims to be “The Happy Diet Pill”, designed to alleviate the bad moods that come from having to eat less and fight the food cravings.  Along with ”the most potent blend of fat burning stims on the market”, ReZolution offers a blend of dopamine precursors (chemicals that your body may use to naturally produce dopamine) that “may help with the ‘high’ that you get from food. This boost may help get you wired-up for hours and provide support to ensure that your cravings aren’t the reason you fall off of your diet.”

While we have nothing against fighting cravings, getting “wired” and “cranked up” isn’t necessarily the healthiest way to do it.  Some of their dopamine precursors may be absorbed by the body to support healthy dopamine levels, but if you are deficient in dopamine or other brain chemicals, its because of a problem that can only be treated with prescription medication, not diet supplements.

ReZolution by LG Sciences Side Effects

The most common side effects that you’ll need to look out for when using ReZolution by LG Sciences include:

• nausea
• headache
• anxiety or panic
• rapid heart rate
• elevated blood pressure

Consult with your physician first before taking ReZolution if you are taking any prescription medications. You should not use ReZolution if you have any history of or risk for heart disease, high blood pressure, heart, kidney, thyroid, or psychiatric disease, anxiety, depression, seizure disorder, stroke or if you have difficulty urinating or have prostate enlargement.  Additionally, if you are a professional athlete, at least one of the ingredients in ReZolution has been banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency.

Stimulants Complex – 220 mg:

• Caffeine Anhydrous
• Bitter Orange (20% Synephrine) – A common replacement for ephedrine, this stimulant is a vasoconstrictor and can accelerate the metabolism in a similar way to caffeine.
• 1,3 Dimethylamylamine – derived from geranium oil and also known as methyl hexanamine, this is another stimulant and vasoconstrictor which also acts like caffeine as a thermogenic.

Dopamine Complex – 545 mg

• Psoraleae Corylifoliae (Babchi) – Indian herb which may act as a norepinephrine and dopamine re-uptake inhibitor
• Chaenomeles Speciosa – may  act as a selective dopamine reuptake inhibitor, though this has only been suggested by one Chinese study.
• N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine – while this is a precursor to dopamine and norepinephrine, it has never been shown to actually affect mood.
• Mucuna Pruriens Seed  -  Contains the compount Levodopa, which is another precursor to dopamine that when taken orally actually doesn’t cross the blood-brain barrier and therefore doesn’t affect your body’s dopamin levels.
• Griffonia Simplicifolia (5-HydroxyTryptophan) – with probably the most evidence for possibly affecting mood and alleviating symptoms of depression, 5-HTP is serves as a precursor to melatonin and serotonin.

Should You Try ReZolution by LG Sciences?

Throughout this review you’ve probably read a lot of “may’s” and “possibly’s”, which are the only words that can accurately be used about whether ReZolution by LG Sciences can help you reach your weight loss goals, or a least to reach them better than if you were taking straight caffeine.  While it definitely contains a ton of stimulants in the recommended dose, this comes with side effects and since there is no reliable evidence that it can improve your mood, this diet supplement fails to live up to at least 50% of its claims.  ReZolution by LG Sciences is also priced at $60 and comes with no satisfaction guarantee, so we say don’t bother.
