Editors' Top Pick of 2012
Do we ever rate a diet pill positively? Yes. Although it's rare, there are a few diet pills that meet our strict recommendation requirements. Why don't we recommend Lipoderm? We're looking for clinically proven ingredients, money back guarantees and low prices. Apidexin is our favorite. You can read our review or go to the official site.
Lipoderm
Chances are you have heard of liposuction, a surgical procedure which literally sucks fat out of your body, and, if you are like millions of pubescent teenagers, you have paid a visit to the dermatologist. So, what does this have to do with Lipoderm? Essentially, Lipoderm is the combination of the two in an innovative way to lose weight.
Lipoderm Ingredients
There is a unique combination of ingredients that Lipoderm uses to help bodies get rid of excess fat through spot treatments. These ingredients include: Yohimbe HCl, Caffeine, Octopamine HCl, Sesamin, Synephrine, Acetyl-Carntine, Ascorbyl Palmitate, and Lecithin.
Certain of these ingredients, such as the Caffeine, Synephrine, and Octopamine HCl, are used in many different weight loss supplements. These ingredients help to reduce water retention, act as an alternate for ephedrine, and target fat brown cells.
The other ingredients are meant to work toward suppressing appetite and reducing fat, but none of these ingredients have been clinically approved. In fact, most of the manufacturer’s claims are not supported by the scientific community.
How does Lipoderm work?
Lipoderm gel is rubbed into the skin two times a day over the area you wish to be rid of fat. The manufacturer recommends starting with four pumps of the product and increasing as time goes on. They also direct to leave the product to dry after it has been rubbed into the skin.
Containing alpha-2 antagonist Yohimbine Hydrochloride, Lipoderm advertises that it will release large amounts of fat from targeted sites such as women’s lower body or the man’s midsection.
Does Lipoderm Work?
Lipoderm claims that it takes what was once the “myth” of spot reduction and turns it into a scientifically proven reality. It then states “These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA.” The manufacturers provide no specific evidence supporting their statements.
We could not find any consumer reviews that gave feedback about whether Lipoderm was successful for them. Due to the fact that millions of Americans are desperate to lose weight, every new method and/or invention is looked at with anxious eyes. Time will tell if spot treatments like Lipoderm have any positive effect at all.
Lipoderm Conclusion
Besides a very slight possibility of actually getting the results you desire, there is little to no benefit to be the first to try out a new product. A little something called trial and error teaches us a lot to know about what will help us lose weight, and what will not.
Though the manufacturer does provide a 100% money back guarantee, it may not be enough to motivate individuals to try out a product that has no consumer or clinical reviews to tell them what to expect.
For such a small amount of product, Lipoderm is rather expensive. It costs around $35 for a 4 ounce bottle.
In addition, Lipoderm does not list any side effects, but should not be used by those with heart or blood pressure problems. Since topical treatments for reducing body fat are highly experimental, we suggest looking elsewhere for ways to quickly lose weight.
