Editors' Top Pick of 2012
Do we ever rate a diet pill positively? Yes. Although it's rare, there are a few diet pills that meet our strict recommendation requirements. Why don't we recommend PrivaTest? We're looking for clinically proven ingredients, money back guarantees and low prices. Apidexin is our favorite. You can read our review or go to the official site.
PrivaTest: Does it Live Up to the Hype?
I would never come right out and say something is a scam, especially when they don’t actually lie in their marketing materials. That being said, PrivaTest is right on the border of Scam City and Waste of Moneyville. They claim to formulate a special blend exactly for you and your weight loss needs. The problem is they’re giving you what you could get from any drug store and they’re charging you about 10 to 20 times more. Good idea in theory but you can’t take a snap shot of a person’s health and formulate a fix all pill and expect it to work long term, or at all.
How Does PrivaTest Work?
PrivaTest is less of a product and more a system. As the name alludes, what you actually buy is not a vitamin or a diet pill but a test you can take in the privacy of your own home. The test consists of a urine sample and a survey with common health related questions. After filling out the form and the cup, you send the test to the company’s lab in the FedEx envelope they provide. The time it takes them to run their analysis varies but within one or two weeks they send you the results of their testing. The results are supposed to tell you what vitamins your body is absorbing and what you need to do to properly augment your diet. Once they tell you exactly what you need, they offer to sell you a multivitamin exactly matched to your needs.
PrivaTest Side Effects
This is a multivitamin. You can overdose on vitamins but it’s not very likely.
PrivaTest Ingredient Highlights
The ingredients will obviously vary because they are custom to you. It wouldn’t surprise me to find out all the vitamins were the same but reviewing diet supplements has made me cynical. The company is probably legitimate.
Should You Try PrivaTest?
I’m going to depart from the norm and leave this one up to you as the consumer. If you honestly think you need a custom multi-vitamin I encourage you do go nuts. I don’t personally think it is worth around $140 just to have a lab analyze what vitamins you happen to be absorbing that particular day. What makes this even less worth the money is the fact that they have the guts to charge you for a test that tells them what to sell you. Then of course they get to sell the over-priced vitamins you told them to make back to you. Assuming they actually use medically tested science to formulate the perfect multi-vitamin it still won’t help you lose weight. I’ll admit a good multi-vitamin is a good addition to any diet but if you want a good diet pill that will actually help you lose weight you can get one for a lot cheaper than this test and still have money left over for a perfectly good multi-vitamin.
