Do we ever rate a diet pill positively? Yes. Although it's rare, there are a few diet pills that meet our strict recommendation requirements. Why don't we recommend Shape Changers Detox Body Wrap? We're looking for clinically proven ingredients, money back guarantees and low prices. Apidexin is our favorite. You can read our review or go to the official site.
Shape Changers Detox Body Wrap: Does it Live Up to the Hype?
Everywhere from TV infomercials to high-end day spas you can find people raving about the quick-fix benefits of body wraps for weight loss and detoxification. Shape Changers Detox Body Wrap is a packaged version of the spa treatment that comes in a kit you can use up to eight times. It calls itself a ”celebrity-style 1-hour inch-loss and detox wrap” that can help you to “visibly lose inches from hips, waist, legs or stomach. The wrap draws toxins out of the body, leaving you visibly slimmer, firmer and smoother.”
Despite your likely skepticism, body wraps like these have been known to temporarily shave a few inches off of waistlines and even thighs in such a short time. The effect is temporary however and has nothing to do with fat loss or “toxin” removal
How Does Shape Changers Detox Body Wrap Work?
Despite the company’s claims that “this is not a water loss wrap” it most definitely is. To lose circumference in your belly or thighs, there is no other way to do it than to either remove water or tissue (or to just squeeze the skin super tight). What you’re losing is most definitely water, but not in the sense where it could dehydrate you.
The way Shape Changers Detox Body Wrap works is by placing a highly concentrated mineral paste (the clay/water mix soaked up by the bandages) next to your skin. The fluids in your skin, including fluid between the cells (interstitial fluid) is then drawn from areas of low salt/mineral concentration to the area of high concentration, which reduces the size of the skin and “tightens it up” you could say.
Shape Changers Detox Body Wrap Side Effects
Based on the typical ingredients (though they don’t disclose the formula for the clay packets) you shouldn’t expect any serious side effects. If you have any common skin allergies you should exercise caution with using Shape Changers Detox Body Wrap, but other than that it looks safe.
Shape Changers Detox Body Wrap Ingredient Highlights
Again, they don’t list the ingredients, but each Shape Changers Detox Body Wrap kit contains:
- 8 packets of detox clay
- 2 bandage wraps
- Instruction booklet and DVD
Each packet of detox clay is good for one partial body wrap, which would cover either your belly or both thighs. The packet is mixed with warm water and the bandage wraps are soaked in this mixture for at least 30 minutes. After this, you can wrap up the area you want to “slim down” with the bandages, followed by household plastic wrap to keep everything in place, then a towel to keep you warm. Again, they say its not water loss, but you’ll be sweating underneath that plastic wrap.
Should You Try Shape Changers Detox Body Wrap?
So, other than the fact that there is no evidence that body wraps actually do remove any sort of toxic substances from your skin and that you may only lose an inch or so around your thighs or belly temporarily, you may still want to give it a shot. After all, maybe you just need to fit into that old dress or those jeans for one night!
In this case, you’ll have to consider that you’ll be buying Shape Changers Detox Body Wrap from the UK and paying in pounds. This will be the equivalent of $64 and shipping costs may be more then $15 for international orders. There is also no satisfaction guarantee. There are simply better, more longer term solutions out there in the form of good diet supplements. We don’t recommend trying Shape Changers Detox Body Wrap.
