Thermofuse Fat Destroyer/Mood Enhancer: Does it Live Up to the Hype?

Thermofuse Fat Destroyer/Mood Enhancer is a very highly concentrated blend of stimulants (mainly caffeine) and a slew of other vitamins in much smaller concentrations. It’s motto is “thermogenic annihilation,” or in other words, it melts your fat away like butter on a George Foreman. In all seriousness, the Thermofuse formula has a lot of potential but comes with some considerable side effects.

How Does Thermofuse Fat Destroyer/Mood Enhancer Work?

Thermofuse works primarily by accelerating your basal metabolism by stimulating the central nervous system with caffeine and phenylethylamine. This increases the amount of calories your body is using up at any given time and boosts your energy for workouts.

According the the company, Thermofuse can do all of this and ”keep you from getting jittery too. It’s all good.” Sounds professional.  It’s sort of like “dude, don’t even worry about it. This is totally gonna work. It’s all good.”  Given the dosage of stimulants, it is unlikely to be completely “all good” and not make you jittery, but it may help you lose some extra fat temporarily. The mood enhancing effect of dimethylamylamine is well known, but it is unclear how much is actually in Thermofuse.

Thermofuse Fat Destroyer/Mood Enhancer Side Effects

The most common side effects experienced with use of Thermofuse include: irritability, insomnia, nausea, dizziness, irregular/elevated heartrate, short breath and cramping.

You shouldn’t use Thermofuse if you are under pregnant or nursing, using antidepressants, using stimulant containing products, or are under the age of 18. Make sure to never use it with alcohol. You should also not continue using Thermofuse for more than 8 weeks.

Thermofuse Fat Destroyer/Mood Enhancer Ingredient Highlights

The two main components of the Thermofuse formula are the Thermogenic Matrix (1171 mg) and the “Lipolytic Modulation” component (200 mg of   irvingia gabonensis). The thermogenic matrix contains three chemicals known to have direct stimulant effects:

• Caffeine
• 1,3-Dimethylamylamine HCL
• B-Phenylethylamine HCL

It also contains Taurine which is linked to decreased anxiety and Bitter Melon Extract and Evodiamine to help with improved digestion and reduced fat uptake, respectively.  Studies on these ingredients are still somewhat inconclusive with respect to weight loss, but it is probably the most promising part of the Thermofuse blend.

As for Irvingia gabonensis, there is evidence to suggest that rather significant dosages of it can help to reduce cholesterol and promote weight loss.  The bad news is that 200 mg is not a significant dose.

Totaling 84 mg, the rest of the ingredients in the formula are good and have a variety of beneficial effects when in the right dose, but there is no way you’re going to get much benefit from so little of each in this diet supplement:

• Apoptosis Triggering Agent (45 mg) – Vitamin D3, Curcumin, Resveratrol, Genistein, Guggulsterones, Quercetin Dihydrate, Ashwagandha Extract (Withaferin A), Green Tea Extract EGCG
• Insulin Support (22 mg) – Cinnamon Bark, Banaba Leaf Extract
• Thyroid Hormone Activation System (17 mg) – Sodium Selenate, Iodide, L-Thyronine

Should You Try Thermofuse Fat Destroyer/Mood Enhancer?

At $60 per bottle plus shipping, this is definitely not the cheapest diet supplement out there.  Thermofuse does not come with any sort of satisfaction guarantee, so you’re risking a decent chunk of change to try it out. If you’re sensitive to stimulants at all, then it definitely isn’t worth the risk.  If you have the extra money and are used to sucking down caffeine every day, then it might work for a temporary weight loss campaign.
